April 6 - This day in Petty history - part 1

1967 - On a South Carolina Thursday night, Richard Petty wins the Columbia 200 at Columbia Speedway in South Carolina. The King picks up his 51st career victory by starting second and leading 169 of the 200 laps.

Lap leading segments were split between Petty and former Petty Enterprises driver, Jim Paschal. Dick Hutcherson won the pole; however, he never led a lap.
